On 25 April we celebrate the 'anniversary of the liberation of Italy from German occupation army and the fascist government took place in 1945. E 'and then having to dedicate a page to this event because it marked an important turning point for our country.

Allied troops arrived in the major cities in the following days and then released. In several dramatic cases occurred in the street fighting, the survivors of the German army and die-hard fascist Italian Social Republic shot hidden in various buildings and stationed on rooftops or towers against partisans and civilians. Between the two factions took place real battles (as in Florence in September 1944), but usually their resistance is reduced to a disorganized guerrilla warfare, for example, Piacenza and Parma.
the night of April 26, 1945 Benito Mussolini, along with its hierarchy based in Grandola and unity within the ' Miravalle hotel in the village of Cardano.
On 27 April 1945 Mussolini, wearing the uniform of a German soldier, was captured at Dongo, near the Swiss border, while attempting to travel abroad with her lover Claretta Petacci. Recognized by the partisans, was imprisoned and executed April 28 at Giulino Mezzegra of his body and then exposed to upside down, alongside those of Petacci and other leaders, in Piazzale Loreto in Milan.

On 25 April Liberation Day: remember that men and women of all ages have died then, to guarantee the democratic rights which we enjoy today. Thanks to them.
