Il 24/06/2010 , il Comune di Garbagnate Milanese, socio insieme a Origgio e ad altri tredici Comuni della zona ha proposto agli altri soci l'acquisto delle loro quote. L'offerta è stata recentemente formalizzata (l'11/11/2010) in 662,9 euro per azione. Per il Comune di Origgio si tratterebbe di un introito, al lordo delle imposte, di 90.817 euro totali. Questa è la storia in estrema sintesi: ovviamente ci sono ulteriori dettagli che per motivi di spazio non è possibile riportare qui.

L'offerta ha trovato il favore tanto della maggioranza quanto dell'altro gruppo di minoranza "L'Arca". Il nostro gruppo, invece, prudentemente e responsabilmente , si è invece dichiarato contrario, a causa di una serie di dubbi che hanno trovato risposta nulla o insoddisfacente in Consiglio comunale. Come raccontavo qui , i gruppi di minoranza "Insieme per Origgio" e "L'Arca" hanno presentato una mozione congiunta che, se fosse stata approvata, avrebbe impegnato l'Amministrazione a modificare lo Statuto comunale riconoscendo il diritto umano all'acqua, il principio di proprietà e gestione pubblica del servizio idrico integrato e la mancanza di rilevanza economica del medesimo servizio.
La maggioranza, purtroppo, ha emendato e stravolto la nostra mozione, riconoscendo timidamente principi meno forti e decisi di quelli da noi proposti. Il nostro gruppo ha contro le prime tre proposte di emendamento della maggioranza. Today our group advising, "Together for Origgio " together with the minority group "The Ark", has registered a joint motion which, if approved, will commit the 'Administration to amend the City Charter in the following way:

• recognize the human right to water and the status of water as a common public good ;
• confirm the principle of public ownership and management integrated water service ;
• recognize that the water service is a public service local economic irrelevant.
